In Engineering classes, students use their hands and their minds to collaborate and investigate as they learn important science, engineering and architectural concepts.
In these classes, students:
- Use LEGO® bricks to build a machine
- Use K’NEX® pieces to construct one of seven bridge types
- Learn to think like a real engineer: building a machine or structure, testing it taking it apart, and then redesigning it to come up with a better solution
- Develop STEM vocabulary words and important communication and collaboration skills
Engineering aligns to state and national standards, and employs sophisticated hands-on tools that engage and inform.
